Yesterday, this headline : Louisiana Senate refuses to protect 'chicken boxing'
Turns out Senator Elbert Guillory delivered the eleventh-hour speech of a lifetime in the Senate of the last U.S. state to ban cockfighting (2008). Sadly for freedom-loving cock ... er, hen-lovers everywhere, he was slapped down as Senators voted 29-8 against Guillory ["holding two pairs of chicken boxing gloves" during his oration] who argued that chicken boxing is a legitimate sport unrelated to cockfighting.
